In a situation where the client's organization has available resources, expertise and/or a preference for conducting all pre-contract work themselves, our owner representative service will be suitable. With this service we represent the owner's interests on the ground in the selected shipyard thereby ensuring the owner remains abreast of all developments as and when they occur.

We offer the following as part of our Owner Representation service:

• Review of agreed technical specification, plans and drawings.
• Advise and support with approving technical plans and drawings.
• On site presence throughout the build period.
• Attendance at yard meetings.
• Regular inspections of yard progress and compliance with agreed specification.
• Witnessing of major milestones.
• Regular updates on project progress through reports and our project tracking software.
• Advise and support with approving/requesting variations to the agreed contract.
• Attendance at sea trials and tests.
• Mediation between client and yard in case of dispute.

With our Owner Representation service the client gets full access to North Star’s knowledge and experience throughout the build process. Furthermore this approach alleviates the need to send key personnel away for a long time allowing the client’s business to keep running smoothly.
